Joshua Generation is the name and identity of our Youth and Young Adults Ministry. If you are over 18 you are welcome to be part of Joshua Generation Young Adults and if you are aged 14 - 18 you are welcome to be part of Joshua Generation Youth. In September 2007 we restructured the youth and young adults ministries and have put together an exciting new strategy to reach out to the young people in our city!

Our vision is to encounter the Father’s love and presence; bringing His power through our transformed lives; impacting neighbours, communities and nations!!

So why are we called the Joshua Generation???

During the process of restructuring our youth and young adults ministry we asked ourselves questions like: What is our identity? What is our sound? What is our vision? What do we long to see in our city?!!!

These are the answers that we came up with:
• they are a rising army
• they are carriers of revival
• they will be strong, courageous, unashamed, unafraid, undivided!
• they will lay hold of the promises of God over them
• they will take possession of the land God has given to them
• they will take this city for Christ!!

This is why we have named them the Joshua Generation. Joshua 1 is full of promises from God to Joshua and God’s people. Joshua 1 : 5 “I will never leave you or forsake you” and Joshua 1: 11 “Take possession of the land he has given you”. You should take time to read it. It’s exciting! At the end of chapter 1 the people of God answer and say to God “Whatever you have commanded us we will do and wherever you send us we will go”. This is the cry of our hearts, we want to surrender our lives to God and say “here we are Lord, ready to go!”
